What is the project?

The Ontario Line South. A six-kilometre tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River). The scope of the Project includes the design, construction, and handover of all tunnels (twin tube of 6 km each), 7 stations (turnkey for: 1 station at grade and 6 underground stations) and civil works.

 


What you will do:

You will be in charge of an underground Station construction site not limited to civil works.


Concretely, your responsibilities will be:

 

  • To deal with the subcontractors (site preperation, piling, excavation) and self-performed work (site preparation, site servicing, tower crane) but also site supervision of one underground station in term of program, cost, means & methods, temporary works, safety and quality;
  • Be in charge of the design coordination for civil, TBM, MEP, architecture for the station;
  • Act as:
    • A permit lead for the station
    • A temporary works lead for the station
    • A precast package lead

 

  • Be in charge of the procurement and contract for supply and subcontractors (site preparation, piling, excavation, civil, reinforcement, …);
  • Schedule development and review (3WLA, station full program);
  • General coordination with other parties (client, city, …) and departments (design, permit, Means & methos, temporary works, procurement, contract, cost control, quality, safety, variation, environment);
  • Develop a highly skilled and competitive professional teams by enforcing quality, safety standards and dispensing technical and contractual knowledge.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position and project;
  • Degree in civil engineering;
  • P.Eng (asset) ;
  • Health and Safety oriented.

  • The construction of the subway line south in Toronto, involving a six-kilometer tunnel and associated excavation work. The project includes the design, construction, and handover of all tunnels (twin tubes of 6 km each), 7 stations (turnkey for: 1 at-grade station and 6 underground stations) and civil engineering works.
  • Extension of the Confederation Line in Ottawa, one of the components of Phase 2 of the city's O-Train system, which includes the design, construction, and financing of 27.5 km of light rail infrastructure. The work also includes 4 kilometers of cut-and-cover tunnels, 20 engineering structures, 16 stations and a light maintenance facility.
