Hours: 40 hours per week

Location – Hinton House, Warrington

Hybrid working – 3 days per week office attendance.

Arrangement – Contracted (Inside IR35) or Permanent

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable.

 

Provide a brief overview of the project:
The Sellafield Product and Residue Store Retreatment Plant (SRP), being delivered by the Programme and Project Partners (PPP), will safely receive all special nuclear material packages from existing storage locations across the Sellafield site before retreating them into new 100-year packages for safe storage. The SRP facility will enable all special nuclear materials to remain safe and secure in its store into the next century and beyond and therefore plays a key role in delivering Sellafield’s purpose to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • For assigned work packages produce engineering design deliverables (specification, drawing, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering) that satisfy the legal and functional requirements along with the associated performance conditions to the agreed time, cost and quality. 
  • Deliver a safe, fit-for-purpose, fully integrated and operable design solution that meets product requirements.
  • Produce design deliverables that provide a fit-for-purpose integrated solution which meets specified requirements, including validation and verification, and that preserve the design intent and align with the plant configuration, as appropriate.
  • Ensure the design solution is able to be manufactured, constructed, commissioned, handed over, put into operation, maintained and decommissioned. 


Profile

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Experience in the use of Auto desk inventor.
  • Experience in the use of Auto desk vault Basis or Vault Pro (file management).
  • Familiar with GPS ISO (BS 8888).
  • Experience in providing support to resolution of manufacturing, inspection, and test Technical Queries/production permits/concessions.  Note: SME support for materials, welding NDT and design for manufacture will be made available.
  • Experience in managing and directing designers in delivery of mechanical plant and equipment drgs and documents.
  • Experience and working knowledge of plant layout, set up, installation and alignment of plant and equipment and machinery for works test, integrated test, and site installation.
  • Experience in writing & checking works test requirement documentation and Integrated works test documents for Plant, Equipment, and machinery. Interaction with CE&I engineers will be required to ensure complete multi-disciplinary interactions are addressed.
  • Capacity to support office based working arrangement for of up to 5 days per week based in Birchwood, Warrington (Typically a blended working arrangement, 3/2 Office/WFH based on work demand and by agreement with manager).
  • Visits to supplier’s premises may be required in support of manufacture/test and issue resolution (including occasional overseas travel in some instances).
