Description of the assignment

MOSA Niugini, a joint venture between Spiecapag Australia and Menard Oceania, is currently offering a expatriate FIFO Senior Project Engineer role on Lihir Island for our client project in the New Ireland region of PNG.


This is a great opportunity to take part in a world-class, first-of-a-kind, and highly technical project consisting in securing a benched retaining wall with cabled strength anchors in a geothermally active environment to enable mining operations to continue in the area.

Profile

To be considered for this position, the successful candidate would ideally possess the following skills and attributes:



  • Bachelor’s Degree preference for engineering (with specialisation in Geotechnical and Soil Mechanics techniques- highly favorable).

  • Experience in large scale construction projects, ground anchors and support systems for deep excavation.

  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing third party contracts through duration of projects and finalisation of projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in successful interactions and problem solving with Engineer or project managers, commercial partners, clients and suppliers, regulatory authorities and government agencies.

  • Engineering coordination experience.

  • Experience in provision of technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

  • Willingness to undertake IEPNG Registration - company sponsored (if required).

  • Completion of Police clearance and employment medical.

  • Previous experience working across different cultures and maintaining key relationships.
