Description de la mission
Vía SumaPaz is responsible for the Bogotá-Girardot Third Lane Project, which involves the construction, land management, social and environmental aspects, and network relocation.
We are currently looking for an Environment and Sustainability Manager (H/F), based in Bogota.
The main responsibilities in this position will be :
Environmental Management of Via SumaPaz operations and maintenance
> Ensure monitoring of national and local environmental regulations applicable Columbia, and related communication with government agencies.
> Ensure follow-up and annual data review for maintaining certifications (eg. ISO 14 001).
> Update contractual and regulatory environmental documentation governing operation of the infrastructure, including for example:
- Environnemental Management System ;
- Environnemental Compliance Plan ;
- Pollution Response and Organization Plan ;
> Support implementing and monitor all environmental measures defined in above documents.
> Design and implement measures to comply with VINCI Highways' objectives :
Act for Climate
- Decarbonization : action plan aiming for net-zero emissions (scopes 1 and 2).
- Adaptation to Climate Change: assessment of the exposure and vulnerability to climatic hazards + elaboration of a adaptation action plan.
o Resources : develop circular economy measures to achieve the “zero waste in landfill” objective ;
o Natural Environments :
- Water: measures to reduce, collect, reuse and treat water in order to minimize water consumption, along with measure to protect surface and groundwater water ;
- Biodiversity: implement alternative zero pesticides, collect data on habitat, flora, and fauna, develop biodiversity management plans, other measures aligned with VINCI Highways’ biodiversity policy.
Environmental Reporting
> Coordinate the collection of environmental KPIs for VINCI Highways binannual reporting campaigns (à KPI’s on energy, water, waste, biodiversity, …).
> Liaise with VINCI Highways Headquarters specialists for carbon, energy, water, waste, biodiversity and other topics.
Communication & relationships
> Delivery of project information to the CSR Manager.
> Represent Via Sumapaz within the VINCI Highways environmental correspondents’ network.
> Participate in meetings, working Groups, and environmental Seminars organized by VINCI Concessions.
Profil
- Professional degree in Environmental, Civil, or Forestry Engineering (or related fields) + postgraduate degree in an environmental area.
- English fluent, Spanish fluent.
- Minimum 12 years of general experience, including 8 years in road infrastructure in Environmental management.
- Understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability reporting standards (e.g., GRI, ISO 14001), and carbon management.
- Force for proposals, provide a critical sense and advice.
- Creative and innovative with management abilities, team spirit.
- Diplomacy, teaching skills, ability to adapt within an international context.
