Profile

The Digital Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the main changes to the key Logistics Data and Digital Programme are delivered at an Operational level. This involves ensuring digital teams are aligned with the activities and that the activities are completed correctly. As a result, errors and deviations need to be closed out and lessons learnt and incorporated to prevent repeats.  They are also required to identify next stage projects and assist in their prioritisation in order to ensure that product and project data is properly managed and stored so it does not delay delivery and use on-site and is valid for use as part of Nuclear Industry LTQR requirements.

The Digital Logistics Specialist has the scope of prioritising the improvement activities required and then co-ordinating delivery of the agreed priorities.

They have the band-width to work with multiple HPC Digital and Data Delivery Teams in order to co-ordinate activities, help develop and implement solutions and escalate where support is lacking.



Principal Accountabilities

The Digital Logistics Specialist will :

  • Co-ordinate day to day Logistics Data and Delivery Projects at an Operational level to ensure any discrepancies are minimised and then eliminated from future activities.
  • Be accountable for ensuring errors are closed out in advance of delivery where identified, or afterwards were not.
  • Form effective relationships with the other Logistics, Data and Digital Delivery colleagues, helping to champion: clarity, respect, positivity, humility and integrity.
  • Develop and help implement prioritised plans of next stage work to ensure further improvement of service delivery requirements with reduced error levels.
  • Ensure early intervention to avoid any escalation of Digital Delivery issues affecting service delivery by working in the spirit of a ‘one team approach’.

    Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

    Essential:

  • Recent and relevant In-depth knowledge and experience in a Logistics Data Systems Environment
  • Experience of working within the constraints of a controlled and high security digital environment.
  • Must be confident in own abilities and be able to deliver a positive effect in a dynamic fluctuating environment.
  • Willingness to learn from own experiences and other members of the Logistics and Digital Delivery teams during both successes and failures.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to strike up and develop effective working relationships.

Must be confident and willing to work with our Warehouse and Digital Delivery Teams in a cooperative way.

Desirable :

 

  • Degree Level or Equivalent Qualification in a related subject or demonstrated experience.
  • Experience of working with Warehouse Management and Stock Control Systems
  • Desirable technical experience within the digital functions of large organisation in the Construction, Engineering or Logistics Industry
