Role Overview

As a Project Director, your ultimate responsibility will be to deliver profitable projects to the business. You will play a critical role in overseeing all key project functions, including engineering, procurement, project controls, construction, and completion. It will be essential to ensure that all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards, on time, and within budget according to the scope and design requirements.


Requirements:

  • Extensive experience overseeing large-scale, high-value projects in fields such as tunneling, bridge construction, and dam engineering is required. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Willingness to fly in fly out to project sites as required and assist in the Brisbane head office during project setup/bid phases.

Profile

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, closely monitoring progress in terms of time, costs, and quality.
  • Control and optimise the allocation of human and physical resources across engineering, supervision, and procurement activities.
  • Identify and resolve potential safety, cost, time, quality, procurement, or human resource issues proactively.
  • Obtain client approval for changes to project scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives and contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive project success and foster positive working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to assist in the development of tender document responses, developing detailed management plans, assisting the estimating and procurement functions, creating design and specification requirements.
