Description of the assignment

THE ROLE:

To provide effective support to the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to Company and legislative procedures and strong working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external).

You will develop your skills towards becoming accountable for managing parts of projects that have been solely allocated to you with limited complexity, to ensure safety first, quality and on time delivery. You will focus on completion of set tasks and project activities that are core Freyssinet services.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and deliver project tasks and outcomes in accordance with schedule
  • Reviewing of plans and drawings under the guidance of the Project Manager
  • Complete routine engineering tasks including take-offs after the project handover to enable ordering of material and equipment in accordance with the project specification and engineering details under the direction and guidance of the Project Manager
  • Drafting of first issue and revision of:

Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS)

Inspection and Test Plan (ITPs)

Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow close out of corrective actions if any

Work Pack Plans (WPP’s) & Task Briefs

Material approval request (MARs)

  • Setting out of work
  • Day-to-day operational and site engagement with clients site representatives and planning of the works with the Project Manager
  • Planning of the day-to-day activities in conjunction with the Site Supervisors
  • Compilation of all site records; to include detailed allocation sheets/ site diaries, photo logs, plant & labour returns, as-built drawing mark-ups, production schedules, ITP and other quality documents
  • Providing detailed analysis/ tracking of change to facilitate the updating of the contract programme on a weekly basis
  • First level identification of issues or changes to the SOW and escalate to the Project Manager
  • Help with preparation of all project QSE documents
  • Assist with project close out and project reporting as required
  • Carry out weekly site safety inspections and be an ambassador for safety, demonstrating active support to the Company’s safety culture
  • Arrange site inductions with client and safety critical medicals where appropriate

Profile

A degree in civil engineering or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline (required)

Experience of practical application of onsite operations from an industrial placement, ideally within structural repairs and strengthening (desirable)

You will be based from our Head Office in Telford and must be flexible to work on on various civil engineering projects in Central England
