Are you looking for a challenging on-site experience where you’ll be at the heart of an industrial project, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring smooth execution from day one?
As part of its industrial development projects, Probisa Vias y Obras (VINCI Construction Group) is seeking a VIE to take part in a strategic project: the construction of an asphalt production plant located in Durango, in the Basque Country.
Integrated into the project team, the VIE will provide direct support for the operational monitoring of the site, within a demanding and international technical environment.
What could you expect as a Industrial Project Management Engineer @Probisa?
Reporting to the Project Manager, the VIE will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the overall monitoring of plant assembly during the construction phase
- Coordinating the activities of subcontracting companies (planning, interfaces and progress).
- Ensuring compliance with the assembly schedule and raising alerts in case of deviations.
- Supervising the proper application of safety regulations in accordance with the prevention plan.
- Contributing to project budget monitoring and cost control
- Preparing regular reports on project progress (deadlines, costs, quality and safety).
- Participating in site meetings and acting as an operational liaison between different stakeholders.
What about you?
You'll be a great fit if:
- You hold a master’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, giving you a solid academic foundation to understand complex infrastructure projects.
- You have initial field experience in industrial project management and construction site monitoring. It will give you solid site knowledge and as such help you integrate effectively on a technical level. Those backgrounds will catch our eye in our selection process.
- You’re looking for a role that mixes fieldwork with project coordination, and you’re eager to get hands-on experience in construction.
- You make Health & Safety a priority. You follow the rules and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for everyone.
- You bring an analytical, detail-oriented mindset and feel confident navigating basic contractual procedures and working with different stakeholders.
- You are well organized and structured, enabling you to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear documentation.
- You’re comfortable with the fast pace and direct communication of construction sites, and your can-do attitude helps you face challenges head-on.
- You’ve got strong interpersonal skills and enjoy being part of a team. Your curiosity and openness make it easy for you to adapt and integrate quickly.
- You speak fluent Spanish and feel confident communicating in any context: on site, in meetings, or day-to-day life
- You're excited about the opportunity to live and work in Spain, making the most of everything it has to offer.
- You have your driver’s license
Why should you join @Probisa and @VINCI Construction as a VIE?
We’ll give you three reasons why this opportunity might be perfect for you:
- You're starting your career – Looking for assignments that teach you something new every day?
Thanks to a VIE, what looks like 2 years on a resume is actually worth 5 years of experience. Léa, working in Toronto, says: “I'm learning so much, not only about the job and technical skills, but also about what it's like to work in Canada. I feel like I'm discovering much more than I would in France at 25."
But if you’re uncomfortable stepping out of your comfort zone, this might not be for you.
- You need mentors to grow – Looking for a supportive work environment?
You'll have experienced professionals guiding you and be part of Young Talents @VINCI Construction, a strong peer network.Thomas in New Zealand shares: “My manager made feel part of the team from day one, end ensures I progress every day.”
But if you prefer working solo and don't enjoy teamwork, this might not be the right fit.
- You are looking for an environment which will keep you on your toes, make you wonder what’s the next challenge ahead?
Considered as a fully-fledged member of the Probisa team, you handle your own projects: it's your call, your responsibility. Caroline, now on a local contract, says: “If I want more, they give me more.”
But if you enjoy a well-oiled routine, you might feel uncomfortable with us.
