NUVIA are actively recruiting for a Software Developer to join our Health Physics business unit. The purpose of the Software Developer is:

  • To support NUVIA in all aspects of software development, leading new development projects for software applications and exploitation of emerging technologies including robotics and AI.
  • To advance the software development capabilities of NUVIA through innovation project delivery.
  • To maintain existing software and related infrastructure.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • To support NUVIA in all aspects of software development including defining and implementing new software solutions for clients.
  • Maintain existing software applications.
  • Manage and report data from NUVIA software applications to internal and external customers.
  • Support the infrastructure used to host NUVIA software applications.
  • Identify emerging technologies and report findings to the Team Leader and Head of Products and Innovation.
  • Help add new software tools and techniques to the list of NUVIA capabilities through implementation and recommendation.
  • Provide advice and share knowledge with the rest of the team.
  • Build interdepartmental and customer relationships.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on software development.

  • C++ experience.  Python, C#, Javascript and SQL desirable.
  • Single board computer system development.
  • Source code control systems.
  • Relational databases.
  • Front end and back end software development.
  • Software and hardware testing.
  • Robot Operating System (ROS) experience desirable.
