We are seeking a Estimator to join our Perth office in Welshpool. We specialize in comprehensive remedial techniques across multiple disciplines, including facades, marine structures, civil infrastructure, and mining. Our expertise spans concrete repair, steel repair, cathodic protection, protective coatings, and more—and we want you to be part of it!


About the Role
As a Estimator at Freyssinet, you’ll play a key role in developing accurate, competitive estimates for projects ranging from $100K to $10M. Your estimating expertise will support our teams in making data-driven decisions, building bids, and winning projects that matter. You'll work with Expert Estimation software to ensure precise calculations and streamline processes, driving successful outcomes across a variety of project types.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Detailed Take-Offs & Data Collection: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for civil and remedial projects, ensuring accuracy in measurements and calculations.
  • Cost Estimation & Bid Preparation: Develop detailed cost estimates, accounting for labor, materials, and equipment required for projects ranging from structural repairs to new civil works.
  • Project Planning & Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather the latest data on materials, pricing, and timelines.
  • Software Utilization: Use Expert Estimation software to prepare and validate estimates, ensuring competitive and comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Project Scope & Analysis: Analyze project scope for potential challenges and opportunities, advising on cost-effective solutions.






    About You
    Qualifications:
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying).
  • Experience: 2-3 years + in estimating, with a solid background in civil or construction projects. Remedial knowledge is preferred but not essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with concrete repair, steel repair, facades, marine structures, cathodic protection, protective coatings, and civil infrastructure would be preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Detail-oriented and skilled in quantitative analysis, with experience in take-offs and data collection for complex projects.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with Expert Estimation or similar software.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present information clearly and collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
